Inspiring Hope. Embracing change. Enriching lives.
“Life is difficult” M. Scott Peck declares on the first page of The Road Less Traveled. Our life journey is a continual process of change and development in matters of family, jobs, career, relationships, aging, and faith. Change and transition can be difficult and disconcerting–often bringing feelings of isolation. Knowing where to turn for support, guidance and information can also be challenging.
The Center for Life Transitions, Inc. is a place, a program and a philosophy. The place and program are built on the philosophy that all people deserve caring and resources to explore and examine their sense of meaning, faith, and values (their “center”) in order to best manage life transitions. Each person’s “center” is unique, personal and individually defined. And the Center for Life Transitions exists to encourage people to draw on their “center” along with all their “gifts” in order to embrace change…take action…and enrich their lives.
The book of Ecclesiastes says there’s a time and a season for everything, which means we’re always moving from something we know towards something new—and uncertain. “Change is inevitable, growth is optional” is a widely spoken sentiment today. As we face new “seasons”, there is opportunity to grow by finding new meaning, new success, and new joy in our lives.
