Respite: A short interval of rest or relief

Pick yourself up one more time.

“If you get up one more time than you fall,
you will make it through.”

– Chinese Proverb

Perhaps we have entered that critical time when reality seems to scream out that more time has passed by than we thought. Hopefully, we are happy knowing we’ve done our best with the time we had.

If, however, we are not experiencing the fulfillment we wished for, all we need do is “get up one more time,” dust ourselves off and discover what else might be possible. Challenges face us all, no doubt, but resilience and perseverance are wonderful attributes to acquire and, indeed, EVERYONE can acquire them! All it requires is getting up once we fall down.

Although it may not be an easy task to rise up one more time, an attitude adjustment could help. Realizing we need to ask for help, rather than going about the task as an independent agent, may present another way of “getting up” in order to make it through one more time.
