“We are all faced with a series of great opportunities brilliantly disguised as impossible situations.”
– Charles R, Swindoll
Many surely relate to the multitude of “great opportunities” that have come our way, perhaps just this past year, but definitely throughout our lifetime. How many “opportunities” have we wasted, sulking about the impossible situation we found ourselves in, rather than imagining how the impossibility could be seen from a different perspective, thus revealing a unique opportunity?
It’s not that these rare opportunities all present quick and easy solutions. On the contrary, they often require an attitude of humility, inviting one to look at a situation from another person’s perspective, which can be the hardest work of all. Perhaps the questions is, what prevents us from seeing these brilliantly disguised opportunities – our own narrow vision, or the impossibly strange person presenting it?
