Respite: A short interval of rest or relief

“It is not how much you do,
but how much Love you put into the doing that matters.”
-Mother Teresa

A recent message from the Daily Om commented on how much we do not know about the effect we have on people, even strangers. During stressful times, we may notice ourselves acting and speaking in ways we normally would not. If we realized that even our unspoken bad attitude can be felt and leave an impact on others, perhaps we would do more to intercept our negativity before it escapes.

The Daily Om put it this way, “By asking ourselves whether those we encounter walk away feeling appreciated, respected and liked, we can heighten our awareness of the effect we ultimately have.” We might think we have little impact on others, but the exact opposite is true. Our impact is tremendous, so we should always strive to make it a good one!
