During her extensive nursing career Cynthia has been involved with the care of clients with dementia and their caregivers by providing direct care to the community in institutions, through counseling, and with presentations, and by programs working directly with agencies providing care to clients with dementia. She has developed and presented training programs on dealing with clients with dementia, bringing the empathy and compassion that can only come from her personal experience dealing with family members and close friends who have been diagnosed with dementia.
