Elder Care Workshops

Back by popular demand, an exciting series of workshops will be offered in March and April 2011 at St. Ann’s Church in Raritan, NJ. Leading elder-care experts will share their experience, wisdom, strength and hope with seniors and their families. The workshop series entitled “Taking Care of Your Parents:
Heartfelt Advice from the Experts” highlights elder care lawyers, authors, nurses and educators.

Programs are equally helpful to the elderly and the children who are trying to support them. Workshops will take place from 7:30-9:00 pm at St. Ann’s Church, 45 Anderson Street, Raritan, NJ. The cost is $5.00 per workshop. Refreshments will be served.

This series is being offered through the Center for Life Transitions (Bridgewater) in partnership with the Community Visiting Nurse Association and the Somerset County Office on Aging and Disability Services. It provides information on issues such as talking to your parents about decisions to be made in their best interest, helping to get control over their affairs and clutter, getting your parent’s legal matters in order, and understanding when to begin to step in to help.
