“So many things were beneficial.
Perhaps the greatest gift I received was hope, which is priceless.”
A LifeSHIFT: Work & the Christian Journey retreat was held September 14-16, 2012 at the Jesuit Retreat Center in Wernersville, Pennsylvania. Facilitated by The Center for Life Transitions, Tom Bachhuber and The Jesuit Center’s Fr. Bill Sneck, twenty-one individuals participated in this unique program combining both retreat and workshop elements. Retreatants evaluated life and professional paths while engaging spiritual and professional guidance.
“The flawless union between faith and vocational journey was completely in step with my personal approach, and very affirming.”
Structured with a careful balance of focused, hands-on workshops, one-on-one sessions with the facilitators and personal reflection time, participants bridged their search for new professional pursuits with their growing spirituality.
“It was right on target for me.”
Reviewers of the workshop’s elements consistently rated the content and delivery high, giving each criterion no less than ‘above average’ and ‘very good’. Responses were heavily weighted toward ‘outstanding’.
The retreat exceeded its maximum limit of twenty participants, with ten on the waiting list. Because of its success, impact and praise by participants, Tom and Bill look forward to additional opportunities to serve people in transition at the Jesuit Center in Wernersville as well as at other Jesuit Retreat Centers.
“Extremely helpful in providing an approach to a successful transition. Helped put spirituality in to the process.”
